It does the job and has saved me a ton of money. The spirit I made does have a slightly unusual taste (better than Smirnoff though). I am considering getting the premium kit to get the carbon filter, that might bring it up to a 5 star rating.
I've done basic home brewing before so I had some idea of what to expect. The fermenting tub is a decent size, 30L is plenty to start with. The Airstill is the star of the kit, well-made and compact. Instructions could go into slightly more detail on a couple of steps but the guide on their website fills the gaps. Delivery was fast, packaging was solid, nothing rattled around. Good value for what you get. Would recommend to anyone starting out.
Been curious about home brewing for years but always assumed it was too complicated. Set this up on a Saturday afternoon, took me about 90 minutes including reading the instructions twice. The step-by-step guide on their website walked me through everything clearly. First batch was running by Sunday. Packed well, shipped fast from Melbourne. Already looking at the premium kit as an upgrade.
Housemate found this on Facebook and we all chipped in. Divided four ways it was nothing. Setup was dead easy, we did it together on a Friday night which was half the fun. The Instant Airstill is surprisingly compact, fits on the kitchen bench no problem. Instructions are straightforward, no experience needed at all. First batch paid for itself! Can't believe we didn't do this sooner. Would give six stars for the price-to-value ratio alone.
Got this for my partner's birthday after seeing it advertised. Was a bit nervous spending $497 on something I knew nothing about but the 60-day return policy made me comfortable enough to go for it. Arrived really well packaged, everything clearly labelled. He set it up the same day it arrived and was genuinely impressed with the quality of the equipment. Says it's the best present he's gotten in years. Shipping from Melbourne was quick, arrived by the end of the week days.
